Substance
abuse, both on and off the job, can impair the ability of employees
to perform their duties safely. CDT offers on-site
training for supervisors to recognize the “at risk” employee,
as well as education programs for employees and supervisors. CDT can
adapt the program to meet the needs of the company.
Supervisor
Training
The
supervisor-training program offered by CDT teaches supervisors to recognize
the “at risk” employee. CDT provides on-site training
classes. We tailor a curriculum to the client’s requirements and
budget. The training is conducted in an interactive format designed to
maximize learning over a relatively short period of time. Information
is presented in segments with question and answer periods during each
segment. Upon completion of the course, the supervisors receive a certificate
for their employee file.
Employee Training
The education program offered by CDT concentrates on the hazards of
alcohol and drug abuse and how employees may seek help when needed. Although
this is not required by the federal regulations, some companies have
decided to provide this training to their employees.
Informational Materials
CDT has many different types of employee informational materials available:
Supervisor manuals that include the company policy, drug and alcohol
information, reasonable suspicion checklists, employee handbooks, videos,
and other information tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
Lectures
CDT staff is available to present lectures on a number of topics in
the drug and alcohol testing area.
